More than a tradition, an institution

Monthly Fairs

In Châtillon-en-Bazois, Luzy and Moulins-Engilbert, the fair is the major monthly event which attracts many exhibitors. A must for those who want to stroll between the fruit and vegetable stalls, smell the scent of roast chicken and spices, browse the clothing or small hardware stands...

Markets and fairs are also an excuse to discover the heritage of the villages. In Moulins-Engilbert, the heart of the market is the fairground – the fairground – which once welcomed breeders who came to sell their livestock. Today, the fair extends to Place Lafayette, another historic square in the village.

Going to the fair is also an opportunity to meet nice people, start a chat and hear the latest news that the locals are telling each other. Because the monthly fair is a real institution! People come from far away and the Morvan accent mixes with foreign sounds. We find his childhood friends who have come to spend their vacation, members of his family who have come for the occasion and loyal vacationers eager for new advice.
