Cast your lines in the Canal du Nivernais, a waterway classified in the 2nd category, where you will fish for white fish, carp, zander, pike, tench and black bass.
Are you a seasoned and experienced angler? Enjoy your sport on the longest " Passion Trail" in France in Eguilly , between Alluy and Biches. And to share your passion with family or people with reduced mobility, several safe fishing areas offer the possibility of settling down safely by the water: in Anizy, Limanton, at Pré Ailloud in Biches, and on the certified stretch from Eguilly to Alluy and Biches.
In Cercy-la-Tour, discover eco-friendly fishing. Its catch-and-release carp fishing pond is the ideal spot to combine fishing and relaxation. You can practice your favorite sport while also enjoying precious moments with family and friends! This pleasant location offers numerous amenities that will delight young and old alike: a bucolic and informative trail about the flora and fauna of the adjacent woods, and picnic tables. The Rives du Morvan are crossed by numerous rivers and streams. Fast currents, oxygenated and cold water: optimal conditions for fishing for wild trout. In 1st category rivers: the Garat and the Guignon around Moulins-Engilbert, the Dragne in Villapourçon and the Roche in Larochemillay. Along the Nivernais Canal, the Aaron ; north of Cercy-la-Tour, the Cane and between Cercy-la-Tour and Luzy, l'Alene, all 2nd category rivers.
Looking for a fun activity for the whole family ? Why not try crayfish fishing in the Aron or the Dragne rivers? These rivers are teeming with these crustaceans, especially between Mingot and Coeuillon and between Moulins-Engilbert and Villapourçon. All you have to do is set up your traps near the banks and wait a few minutes for a bite. Tonight, you're sure to have a feast!

Recharge your batteries while fishing at the edge of a pond
Are you looking for fishing trips without the pressure of competition, where the only pleasure is being there, in peace and quiet, or with your family? Fishing by a pond will delight young and old alike, offering pleasant days out in a natural, wooded setting. And for added peace of mind, whether you're with family or accompanied by people with reduced mobility, safe banks have been installed at the Étang des Sources in Saint-Honoré-les-Bains and the Étang de la Boue in Rémilly.
The Chênaie pond in Montapas and the Marnant lake in La Nocle-Maulaix are open to all anglers with a municipal fishing permit. You'll appreciate the tranquility and abundance of roach, carp, and pike. The Boue pond in Rémilly is very well equipped for family fishing, as is the Sources pond in Saint-Honoré-les-Bains, which has been awarded the "Family Trail" label with a children's playground and restrooms nearby. Finally, roach are the star attraction for anglers at the Escame lake in Moulins-Engilbert, a second-category municipal pond.

Wherever it takes place, fishing is regulated. The Nièvre Fishing Federation offers different fishing cards for 1st and 2nd category sites. Other fishing permits are available for private or communal bodies of water.
