A true paradise for white fish fishermen

Cast your lines in the Canal du Nivernais, a waterway classified in 2nd category, you will fish there white fish, carp, zander, pike, tench and black bass.

Are you an inveterate and experienced fisherman? Practice your activity for the longest time. Passion Journey » from France to Eguilly, between Alluy and Biches. And to share your passion with family, or in the company of people with reduced mobility, several secure fishing areas offer the possibility of settling down without risk at the water's edge: in Anizy, Limanton, at Pré Ailloud in Biches and on the labeled route from Eguilly to Alluy and Biches.

In Cercy-la-Tour, discover eco-responsible fishing. Her “no-kill” carpodrome » is the ideal spot to combine fishing and relaxation. You will be able to practice your favorite sport, without neglecting precious moments spent with family or friends! This place of pleasure has numerous facilities which will delight young and old: bucolic and informative trail on the fauna and flora of the adjacent woods, picnic tables. You will find carp and roach there.

When night falls and darkness sets in, all the conditions are there to experience exceptional moments during a game of night carp fishing. Between excitement and impatience for a record catch under the starry sky, go to the places called Mingot and Coeuillon in Châtillon-en-Bazois, to Isenay or to the Chaumigny carp course in Cercy-la-Tour.

Let yourself be transported by river fishing

La river fishing is fishing that transports you, along the water, but also through the seasons. Throughout the year, fish move depending on vegetation, food and water level. Find your fishing spot, unwind your line and above all… stay attentive!

The Rives du Morvan are crossed by numerous rivers and streams. Fast currents, oxygenated and cold water: optimal conditions for fishing for wild trout. In 1st category rivers: the Garat and Guignon around Moulins-Engilbert, the Dragne in Villapourçon and the Roche in Larochemillay. Along the Nivernais Canal, the Aaron ; north of Cercy-la-Tour, the Cane and between Cercy-la-Tour and Luzy, l'Alene, all 2nd category rivers.

Fancy a fun activity for the whole family ? Why not go crayfish fishing in the Aron or the Dragne? These rivers are full of these crustaceans, particularly between Mingot and Coeuillon and between Moulins-Engilbert and Villapourçon. All you have to do is install your scales near the banks and wait a few minutes until the catch. This evening, it's certain: you're going to enjoy yourself!

Recharge your batteries while fishing at the edge of a pond

Are you looking for moments of fishing without a competitive objective with the sole pleasure of being there, in peace or with family? Fishing at the edge of a pond will satisfy young and old to spend pleasant days, in a natural and wooded environment. And for more peace of mind with family or accompanied by people with reduced mobility, secure banks are provided at theSources Pond in Saint-Honoré-les-Bains andMud pond in Rémilly.

THEChênaie pond in Montapas and that of Marnant lake in La Nocle-Maulaix are open to all fishermen with a municipal fishing license. You will appreciate tranquility and a wealth of roach, carp and pike. The Etang de la Boue in Rémilly is very well equipped for family fishing as well as the Etang des Sources in Saint-Honoré-les-Bains which benefits from the “Parcours Famille” label with games for children and toilets nearby. Finally, the carp is the guest of honor of fishermenGoat pond of Vandenesse and the roach, Escame lake in Moulins-Engilbert; both 1st category municipal ponds.

Of course, no fishing without a fishing license!

Wherever it takes place, fishing is regulated. The Nièvre Fishing Federation offers different fishing cards for 1st and 2nd category sites. Other fishing permits are available for private or communal bodies of water.

The Loire, a unique river to discover for its fishing quality

With its numerous sandbanks and its varied ecosystem, the Loire is home to many species of freshwater fish such as the pike, black bass, zander, carp… In summer, the water of the Loire is crystal clear: ideal for sight fishing.
