©Jérôme Champagnat On the banks of the Alène River, the town of Luzy, seat of a powerful barony in the Middle Ages , invites you to discover its heritage. Enjoy a sunny day strolling through the town and exploring its historical sites, such as the ruins of the castle of the Barons of Luzy.
The Barons' Tower , a remnant of the Luzy barons' castle , houses a museum showcasing the trades of yesteryear and the family life of the town's inhabitants at the beginning of the 20th century. Old agricultural tools, everyday utensils, historical documents, a model of a charcoal burner's hut... these are just some of the items to admire during your visit.
The town hall of Luzy houses eight superb Aubusson tapestries from the early 18th century in its main hall , listed as Historical Monuments. Standing approximately 2,30 meters tall, they were specially made for the various panels in the hall, some very narrow, others wider. They depict the life of the biblical heroine Esther.
