As you climb this steep little street, more colloquially known as "Rue Casse-Cou" (Breakneck Street), you will reach the historic old town.
From the tower, a former keep of which only the base remains, admire the monumental statue of the Virgin Mary that overlooks Cercy-la-Tour. In the Place d'Aligre, after visiting the Church of Saint Peter, listed as a Historical Monument, stop at the fountain bearing the likeness of the Marquis and Marquise d'Aligre, former benefactors of the town.
