Burgundy has many river and canals. It is the ideal destination for the river navigation.
Each break is an opportunity to enjoy the wealth of the territory, local gastronomy and to discuss with the lock keepers who will have pleasure to share with you their good addresses (restaurants, activities…).

The canal is opened to all forms of sailing : from a simple ride of few hours to the several days itinerant stay.
Here, you don’t have automatic water gate, just some people fascinated by their job. They wait for you with a warm welcome.
Here, you don’t need a license : you can rent a boat for an hour of a day to base Aqua Fluvial and discover the “voûtes de La Collancelle”, the most beautiful work of Canal du Nivernais.
Longer stays are possible, from 2 days to 3 weeks, in family or with friends. Rent a fully equipped boat without licence, one hour of learning is enough for becoming “a captain” ! The company Les Canalous has a base of rent of boats to Châtillon-en-Bazois, at the foot of the castle.
