At its pace
For walkers, the GR3 passes by the municipalities of Charrin and Saint-Hilaire-Fontaine and is next to the Loire in the place called “la Crevée” (Charrin) and to Thareau (Saint-Hilaire-Fontaine).
A clear path
These two sites are also accessible by bicycle via a dedicated and secure route, l’EuroVélo 6, on the stage Cronat / Decize.
This plan constitutes one of the big routes of the Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo. Very appreciated, the site of Thareau is ideal to have a rest and eat something.
You will also find in the village of Charrin a Relay Véloroute, equipped with showers, toilets, WiFi, as well as 3 locations for tents with electricity, of which to blow for a night between Decize and Bourbon-Lancy.
Run-of-river
To discover the river closer, slide along with the current run-of-river aboard a canoe or aboard a kayak… L’Espérance Canoë Decize Saint Léger des Vignes offers you the possibility of renting these boats. The time of a day, embark to Thareau and make a stopping place to picnic to Charrin before return to Decize.
