The Pierre Aiguë stands two kilometres east of the Vieille Montagne. This curious pile of stones is said to have been dedicated to the Virgin. A very pretty legend relates to the place. Long ago, when the Virgin was leading Saint-Barthélemy to Villapourçon, she wanted to rest on a height of the Niret. Before leaving, she placed three small stones one on top of the other, saying: "Small stones, you will become big". When she left, the stones took on the size they have today. In her kindness, the Virgin preserved the region and its inhabitants from the misfortunes of war and the ravages caused to the flocks of sheep by wolves. Wolves, numerous in the region, were seen mingling with the sheep grazing under the Pierre Aiguë, while they devoured the animals in the surrounding area. Finally, the Virgin's last prediction was that the end of the world would not come, as long as the Pierre Aiguë existed.

To access the sharp stone, you can park at the entrance to the path. The stone will be 20 meters further.
