Circuit le Bazois sur le Canal

This walk will take you through the farmlands of the Bazois region and along the Canal du Nivernais, one of the most beautiful in Europe. A former stronghold perched on a rocky outcrop, Châtillon-en-Bazois is also a town steeped in history: its castle and gardens, listed as "remarkable gardens" (not open to the public), its church, and its numerous canal crossings dating back to the era of timber rafting, all bear witness to this. This 16 km circuit can be divided into two loops.
