CHATILLON-EN-BAZOIS

Châtillon-en-Bazois is a village with a rich past and a remarkable heritage. Its castle, the seat of an important lordship in the Middle Ages, built on a rocky peak, dominates the natural Aron valley and the course of the Canal du Nivernais. A spa town, Châtillon has several remarkable works of art: 2 bridges in the town, the canal bridge at Mingot, the Coeuillon site... The current church dates from the middle of the 19th century. The marina has a certain charm.
