The tourist tax is paid by the holidaymaker to the establishment where they are staying: hotels, tourist residences and furnished accommodations, bed and breakfasts, campsites, marinas and paid parking areas… It is a rate per person per night . Holidaymakers under 18 years of age are exempt.

This tax is collected by the Community of Communes Bazois Loire Morvan, then returned in its entirety to theTourist Office Rives du Morvan. Thanks to it, the Tourist Office can finance actions for the benefit of all tourism stakeholders, such as: outdoor activities, tourism promotion of heritage, actions to protect and manage natural areas for tourism purposes, tourist mobility, reflections on the territory's tourism strategy, development of the missions of the Tourist Office...
For the year 2024 it represented approximately a third of the Tourist Office's revenue.
