Tourist tax

It's used for ?

You wish to stay on the Rives du Morvan but you are wondering what the tourist tax charged to you can be used for? We explain everything to you, in a few lines.

The tourist tax is paid by the holidaymaker to the establishment where they reside: hotels, residences and furnished tourist accommodation, guest houses, campsites, marinas and paid parking areas... It is a price per person per night. Holidaymakers under the age of 18 are exempt.

The amount of the tourist tax varies depending on the type of accommodation and its standard. To find out the amounts applicable in 2024, take a look at the site  bazoisloiremorvan.taxesejour.fr

This tax is collected by the Community of Communes Bazois Loire Morvan, then returned in its entirety to theTourist Office Rives du Morvan. Thanks to it, the Tourist Office can finance actions for the benefit of all tourism stakeholders, such as: outdoor activities, tourism promotion of heritage, actions to protect and manage natural areas for tourism purposes, tourist mobility, reflections on the territory's tourism strategy, development of the missions of the Tourist Office...

For the year 2022 it represented around 25% of the Tourist Office's revenue.

Concretely, when you pay your tourist tax, you contribute to the influence of our destination and we thank you!
