Eco-designed

Our eco-responsible approach

In line with its commitments to sustainable tourism and aware of the environmental impact of its digital promotional tools, the Tourist Office Rives du Morvan has committed to an eco-design approach with the redesign of its website. Below you will find the improvements adopted to reduce our digital footprint, without neglecting your browsing experience:

  • Our website is hosted on a server located in France, concerned about the environment and eco-powered : SAS Datacampus.
  • Loading performance has been improved thanks to a automatic compression tool of the weight of the visuals: Imagify.
  • Ergonomics has been improved by the reduction in the number of requests necessary for the display of information and the integration of essential features.
  • The integration of interactive maps to facilitate your search.
  • The integration of a eco-fashion (icon located at the top right of your web page) to allow you:
    • to save energy during your navigation, by choosing the dark mode.
    • byadapt our content in real time to the difficulties of each visitor (font size, dyslexia, access to foreign languages, etc.).

We wish you excellent navigation in eco-responsible mode: great discoveries await you in freshwater Burgundy!

Explanation of EcoWebScore

Analysis of web eco-design by EcoWebScore is an objective and neutral information tool. It reflects the result of a technical and pragmatic analysis, based on the constituent elements of the website collected automatically.

The present beta version of EcoWebScore is based on 3 key indicators:

  • The number of elements in the HTML document
  • The number of HTTP requests between terminals and servers
  • The weight of the page expressed in KB (Kilo Bytes)

The aim of the analysis is to raise awareness among all those involved in the design, editing and consultation of a website:

  • the web agency
  • data centers and servers
  • the content editor
  • the visitor

Each indicator has its own rating scale based on good and bad practices. Once these scores are submitted, an average is calculated to provide a general analysis of the page's eco-friendly web design.
